Job Description
• Accepts and processes packages received over the counter ensuring to meet the service and shipping requirements, in accordance with defined procedures includes dealing updated systems and scanning shipments appropriately.
• Calculates the appropriate rate for “over the counter” shipments, provides the customer with correct change as needed and advises the customer accordingly.
• Operate the assigned station and ensures everything is in place ready to deal with the initial customer contact.
• Ensures an adequate supply of consumables is maintained by monitoring supplies and obtaining replenishments from the agreed area as and when needed.
• Deals with routine questions from customers relating to the shipment of goods (transit times, quotes etc.).
• Covers a reception area and deals with visitors in a professional and courteous manner and escalates other queries to the manager for appropriate resolution of concerned area.
• Reports daily transaction volumes, cash collections, etc. to the management as defined locally.
• Establishes requirements and relays visitor details to the appropriate party in accordance with locally defined procedures.
• Ensure all security and procedural checks are completed while accepting and delivering a package based on the local and country guidelines.
• Processes packages held at location in accordance with defined procedures and physically places these shipments into the appropriate place for processing.
• Verifies account details or takes the correct payment in cash, cheque or by credit card based on the guideline provided by management and local accounting department.
Skills
• Knowledge in proper operation of office equipment and tools like printer, computer, scanner, fax machine, etc.
• Knowledge in the interpretation of the government laws and regulations related to the business.
• Knows simple mathematical computations.
• Can read and write in Arabic and English language.
• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 1 year in Customer handling
• Processing information

• Guests handling skills
• Administrative functions
• Evaluating information to determine compliance
• Intermediate in Speaking, Reading and Writing in English
